Lessons
We cater to riders of all levels, from beginners to advanced, starting from the age of 4. Our oldest client to date is 71 years old, proving that you're never too old to learn! We are happy to discuss any specific requirements you may have and can tailor lessons to meet your individual needs.
Group Lessons
We offer one-hour childrens group lessons on Saturdays and Sundays starting at 9 AM.
Intermediate/advanced group sessions are held on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings.
All lessons require pre-booking. The cost for group sessions is £30.00 for one hour.
We provide safety-standard helmets free of charge and kindly ask that you wear shoes or boots with a small heel for safety. For children, a leader will accompany them until they can walk and trot independently. Our wonderful volunteers serve as mini instructors, greatly enhancing the learning experience during lessons.
We are committed to teaching riding for the disabled and find it incredibly rewarding, achieving excellent results. Additionally, we can accommodate groups of friends through private bookings. We regularly host school trips, as well as Scout and Brownie groups working towards their riding badges.
We have a 48 hour cancellation policy on all group lessons. £20 will need to be paid for the missed lesson before another can be booked. Any cancellations made after 24 hours will need to be paid in full.
We don’t have a card machine so cash only please.

Adult Private Lessons
We can offer you a 1-2-1 lesson so you can work on your own personal level of riding. Our adult private lessons are available Monday to Thursday, with the first lesson starting at 9 am and the last lesson at 7 pm. Each session is tailored to meet your individual needs and goals, whether you're a complete beginner or looking to refine your skills. During the lessons, our experienced instructors will focus on various aspects of riding, including technique, balance, and confidence. You'll have the opportunity to work at your own pace, ensuring that you feel comfortable and supported throughout the learning process. In addition to riding skills, we can also cover horse care and stable management if you're interested. This holistic approach helps riders develop a deeper understanding of equestrianism.
Private lessons cost (reduced for more than one riding)
£35.00 for 30 minutes
£45.00 for 45 minutes
£60.00 for 60 minutes
Your lesson requires prepayment via bank transfer to secure the booking. We also have a 72 hour cancellation policy on all bookings.
New clients
- Please arrive 5 minutes before to fill in the compulsory Rider Registration Form. Please wait by the office for someone to come to you.
- For your first riding lessons we offer safety standard hats to use free of charge. If you wear your own hat and boots, hats need to be to the latest standard and boots smooth sole with a quarter inch heel, we recommend jodhpur boots. If you are unsure please ask a member of staff on arrival.
- If and when you want to buy your own hat, boots and clothing we recommened going to the local professional tack shop- Townfields.
- We advise wearing loose fitting trousers like leggings or joggers until you buy riding leggings or jodhpurs. Try to avoid wearing jeans as the hems can rub your legs. Shorts/skirts/dresses are not permitted.
- Please bring a coat as it is not guaranteed to be in our indoor school. All tops and jackets must be zipped up so they cannot flap ect, it may spook the horse. If you need to take off a jacket while riding you will need to tell your instructor as you must dismount from the horse first.
- Ideally all riders need to wear gloves, but it is not essential.
- Please Google jodhpur boots so you can get an idea of similar suitable footwear.
Extreme Weather Conditions
Horses have a lower core body temperature to us so struggle more in the heat than cold temperatures. Our horses well being is paramount and so is our volunteers so in extreme hot weather there will be changes to lesson lengths and the content maybe different to usual days. Please be patient and understanding of these necessary changes.
