About the Centre

Holly Riding School was established in 1976 by Mr and Mrs Brown, however, Mr Brown passed away in May 1998, and so his daughter Nicky Wheldon took up the reins and is currently running the school.

The riding school has an excellent reputation for teaching and is now teaching its third generation of local residents with grandparents and parents alike bringing their children to where they learnt to ride. We cater for riders from age 4 onwards and do adult riding lessons.  We are a family run business and have a friendly relaxed atmosphere and a loyal client base.  We are on the outskirts of Tamworth/Atherstone, Warwickshire and boarder Staffordshire and Coventry.  The centre is easily accessable and is 5 minutes from M42 junction 10 and the A5.

Nicky  Wheldon is a qualified British Horse Society Instructor and Pony Club Accredited Coach.  Teaches adult riding lessons Monday to Friday, private riding lessons and groups.  Teaches mixed children and adults of all abilities on a Saturday.  She also competes with the British Show Jumping Association and British Dressage Association with her own and other peoples horses currently up to 1.20m.

Harriet Pritchard  is a real favourite with both young adults and children of all ages.  She is extremely knowledgeable and is a brilliant asset to the team.  At present Hattie is working through her teaching qualifications.  She is approachable and extremely friendly and always willing to help with any problems you may have.  Her horse knowledge is well beyond her years.  She competes at a high level in British Show Jumping finishing top of the Bronze League West Midlands summer 2020, has represented Area 30 countless times, competed for England North and England Midland and has also started her Eventing career with excellent results.
