About the Centre

Holly Riding School was established in 1976 by Mr and Mrs Brown, however, Mr Brown passed away in May 1998, and so his daughter Nicky Pritchard took up the reins and is currently running the school.

The riding school has an excellent reputation for teaching and is now teaching its third generation of local residents with grandparents and parents alike bringing their children to where they learnt to ride. We cater for riders from age 4 onwards and do adult riding lessons.  We are a family run business and have a friendly relaxed atmosphere and a loyal client base.  We are on the outskirts of Tamworth/Atherstone, Warwickshire and boarder Staffordshire and Coventry.  The centre is easily accessable and is 5 minutes from M42 junction 10 and the A5.

Nicky Pritchard is a qualified British Horse Society Instructor and Pony Club Accredited Coach.  Teaches adult riding lessons Monday to Friday, private riding lessons and groups.  Teaches mixed children and adults of all abilities on a Saturday.  She also competes with the British Show Jumping Association and British Dressage Association with her horses.

Harriet Pritchard is your first point of call on a Saturday and Sunday and can usually be found in the office dealing with bookings, hat sizing and ensuring lessons run smoothly and on time.  She is approachable and extremely friendly and always willing to help with any problems you may have.  Her horse knowledge is well beyond her years.  She competes at a high level in British Show Jumping finishing top of the Bronze League West Midlands summer 2020, has represented Area 30 countless times, competed for England North and England Midland and has also started her Eventing career September 2019 with excellent results.  She is a total asset to the yard and welcome her on board.

Mrs Benita (Benny) Brown is the main stay of the business and has been running it since 1976 giving her an exceptional knowledge and experience when dealing with horses and clients. When you ring the riding school in the first instance, she will be your first contact and is always happy to help and advise of the best course of action for your riding requirements, whether it’s private or class lessons, Pony Days, birthday parties or livery enquiries. She is totally approachable, kind and caring and will instantly put you at ease.  Benny also looks after the horses needs as if they were her own children and ensures that there care is second to none. This ensures all our school horses and liveries have an exceptional level of care and are very happy and contented.

Lorna Boden is a Pony Club Accredited Coach and Yard Manager teaches mixed groups on a Sunday and is main Pony Club contact.  She also looks after all of the riding school horses, liveries and the volunteers.
